Inayat Bunglawala nicked….it’s Islamophobia to report it

Mail smears Inayat Bunglawala

A Muslim who advised the Government following the July 7 London bombings has been arrested after an alleged stabbing. Inayat Bunglawala, 39, was held on suspicion of attacking another man at his £300,000 home.

Mr Bunglawala, who also briefed former Security Minister Tony McNulty on the threat posed by Islamic radicals in the UK, was arrested two weeks before Christmas last year. The identity of the alleged victim is unknown and it is not clear what circumstances led to the alleged attack in the early hours of December 13 last year.

Conservative MP Patrick Mercer, who worked as a security adviser to Mr Brown, said of the alleged incident: “This calls into question the Government’s vetting of its Islamic advisers.”

Not to defend the Daily Mail but they haven’t branded Mr Bunglawala guilty.

They are just reporting the fact that he was arrested.

But of course reporting on anything negative involving a Muslim is Islamophobic racism in the eyes of Islamophobia Watch and their friends.

Anglain parade protesters: Unrepresentative hooligans?

March 11, 2009

Why do the media give publicity to these unrepresentative hooligans?

“The latest publicity stunt organised by some former members of the banned al-Muhajiroun outfit in Luton yesterday appears to have gone exactly to plan. It is a simple formula – hold up some offensive placards designed to get people’s backs up and call a local reporter to come along and capture some footage – that has reliably generated acres of media coverage for them in recent years.

“Our TV channels and today’s newspapers have very obligingly given over a huge amount of precious broadcast time and expensive newsprint to report the antics of the tiny group of hooligans.

“Leaflets had been distributed during the past week by the former al-Muhajiroun activists in Luton urging people to protest at the parade of soldiers returning from Iraq. There are over 20,000 Muslims living in Luton and tellingly less than 20 people heeded their call. And yet the irresponsible actions of this tiny few seem to command the airwaves.”

Inayat Bunglawala at Comment is Free, 11 March 2009

And there was us thinking that Islamophobia Watch were going to link a comment from the Socialist Worker which says that this was a justifiable protest against UK and US imperalism!

So do Islamophobia Watch think, like Inyat Bunglawala that these protestors are “unrepresentative hooligans”?

If they do then surely they are breaking their own code, which is never to criticise Muslims for anything they saw or do because to do so is to side with Nazi fasicst Islamophobic Muslim hating racists!

And if Islamophobia Watch do think the protestors are unrepresentative hooligans then surely that makes Islamophobia Watch in their own eyes Nazi fascist Islamophobic Muslim hating racists!

Why does the media give publicity to these unrepresentative holigans?  Could it be with wanting to cause a fuss in order to sell newspapers?

Go figure!

England People Very Nice…what’s Islam got to do with it?

South Bank demo at National Theatre over ‘racist’ play

A demonstration against the play England People Very Nice was held outside the National Theatre on Friday. At one point a large banner was displayed from a balcony.

The controversial play by Richard Bean looks at immigration in London’s East End. It is directed by the National’s artistic director Nicholas Hytner who says that the play “lampoons all forms of stereotyping: it is a boisterous satire of stereotypes of French, Irish, Jews, Bangladeshis, white East End cockneys, Hampstead liberals and many others. Every stereotype is placed in the context of its opposite and it clearly sets out to demonstrate that all forms of racism are equally ridiculous.”

The outdoor demonstration preceded a Platform event during which the play’s writer Richard Bean was due to discuss his work. The protest, under the banner “Love Theatre Hate Racism”, was organised by Bethnal Green playwright Hussain Ismail. Cllr Abjol Miah, leader of the Respect group on Tower Hamlets Council, was present with several objectors from the East End.

“I am passionate about theatre and I don’t think theatre should be used to peddle racist filth under the guise of comedy and serious theatre.” Hussain Ismail told the small crowd of passers-by on the riverside who stopped to listen to speeches. “We don’t need to be told about multi-culturalism by an elitist institution that does not represent multi-cultural London. What we need to do is to challenge the racist rubbish.”

London SE1, 28 February 2009

One has to wonder whether critics of this play have seen it.

It stereotypes white working class people as well. Can’t see any white working class people protesting.

Could it be just the hardline socialist Respect party protesting against this “racist” play to win votes amongst ethnic minorites?

Islamophobia Watch link it but there’s nothing here about Islam.
